EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: One of the great opportunities we have in our parish is to spend time in the presence of the Lord through Eucharistic Adoration. From 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each Tuesday, the Eucharist is exposed in the chapel for quiet prayer and adoration.

TRAVELING CHALICE OPPORTUNITY: One of our responsibilities as Catholics is to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Our Traveling Chalice Prayer for Vocations program is a great opportunity for parishioners to pray and promote vocations. Each week, one family receives the chalice & book to take home. While the chalice is in your home, we ask that you make a family commitment to pray each day for vocations using the prayers provided in the book. TUESDAY, JULY 10: Singing Friends Chorus Mini Concert, Summer Get-Together, & Sing-Along at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie at 7:00 p.m., The Singing Friends Chorus will be sharing songs from their Spring Concert, patriotic and other songs. Save aluminum can tabs: The KC’s throughout Minnesota are saving pop tabs with proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House. The different Councils are having a competition to see who collects the most pounds per capita. Please help out our Silver Lake Council by dropping off your tabs in the containers at the main entrance and lower level north entrance.

CELIA KNOLL OUT OF OFFICE: Celia Knoll, our homebound minister and pastoral assistant, will be out of the office for about 8 weeks to recover from shoulder surgery. During her absence please contact the parish office for things you would usually bring to her. Please keep Celia in your prayers during her recovery.
ROSARY SOCIETY: We are inviting you to participate in the church ministries. Joining the Rosary Society is both fulfilling for your personal faith growth at your pace and also the church community. The founder of the Confraternity is St. Dominic, who at the request of the Blessed Virgin, introduced and established the prayer of the Most Holy Rosary. The Rosary Society through dues and donations, provides all the altar breads and maintaining of the linens. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
ADORATION is each Tuesday, following the 8:00 a.m. Mass until 4:00 p.m. There are still many open hours that need to be filled for Adoration, please pray that volunteers come forward. Open times are: End of Mass - 9:00 a.m. (1 volunteer needed), 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. (2 volunteers needed), 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. (1 volunteer needed), Noon - 1:00 p.m. (2 volunteers needed), 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. (1 volunteer needed), 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. (2 volunteers needed). RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED for the upcoming 2018-19 Religious Ed year. We will need a Catechist or Co-Catechists for Grade 3. We will also need Co-Catechists for grades 7, 8 and 11. Our current Catechists, Janelle Webb (Gr. 7) and Lisa Blazinski (Gr. 8), are willing to stay on, but can only teach part time. They would like to teach on an every other week schedule. Gerald Kucera (Gr. 11) would like to retire so we are looking for someone to work with him and transition to teaching the class for the full year. We will also need additional substitute Catechists (especially for grades 7-11) and Prayer Listeners. Please prayerfully consider volunteering for one of the open areas we have in our program. If you have questions about our program, are interested in teaching, or know of someone who might be a good fit, please contact Lori Penas at the parish office.
CATECHIST MEETING: There will be a Catechist Meeting for all Holy Family and Holy Trinity Catechists and support staff on Wednesday, August 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the lower level of Holy Family Church. At this meeting you will receive your binder and teaching materials so you can prepare before classes begin on September 5. This meeting will also include a review of changes in curriculum, training, and enrichment. Please plan on attending.
FALL BAZAAR NEWS
PLANNING IS UNDERWAY for our annual Fall Bazaar, which will be held on Sunday, October 7. Our next meeting will be on Monday, July 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Education Center. We will be going over our worker’s list at this meeting.
CHAIR PERSON(S) NEEDED: We are in need of a chair or co-chairs for Bingo. We have someone who is willing to help with the prizes but does not want to be the chair person. If you are willing to volunteer for to chair this part of our Bazaar, please contact Lori at the parish office
DONATIONS FOR PRIZES: We are again asking for your generosity with prize donations for Bingo and Children’s Games, as well as items for the Country store. Containers are located in the Church lower level on the table inside the north entrance. Please remember that items for Bingo and Children’s Games should be new and unopened. Children’s Games will need small pumpkins that kids can decorate. The Country Store will be in need of bags of all sizes.
.DONATIONS FOR THE ALL-CASH RAFFLE are now being accepted through the end of September. If you would like to have your name printed on the ticket as a donor, please declare your donation by July 30. Donations can be dropped off or mailed in to the parish office, or placed in the Sunday collection in an envelope marked “Raffle Donation.” Please make checks payable to the Church of the Holy Family. ~Thank you for your continued generosity!

With Fr. Paul’s retirement from active ministry he is no longer available for emergency calls for the assistance of a priest. Please call Fr. Tony or Fr. Mike on their cell phones in cases of emergency or need for priestly assistance. The Winsted rectory phone is now forwarded to Fr. Tony’s cell phone. Both Fr. Tony’s and Fr. Mike’s cell phone numbers are in the masthead on the second page of this bulletin. As always, you may call any of the parish offices for assistance during regular business hours.
