up to the Lord in prayer. We are looking for volunteers to be a part of

TRAVELING CHALICE OPPORTUNITY: One of our responsibilities as Catholics is to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Our Traveling Chalice Prayer for Vocations program is a great opportunity for parishioners to pray and promote vocations. Each week, one family receives the chalice & book to take home. While the chalice is in your home, we ask that you make a family commitment to pray each day for vocations using the prayers provided in the book. Save aluminum can tabs: The KCís throughout Minnesota are saving pop tabs with proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House. The different Councils are having a competition to see who collects the most pounds per capita. Please help out our Silver Lake Council by dropping off your tabs in the containers at the main entrance and lower level north entrance.

ROSARY SOCIETY: We are inviting you to participate in the church ministries. Joining the Rosary Society is both fulfilling for your personal faith growth at your pace and also the church community. The founder of the Confraternity is St. Dominic, who at the request of the Blessed Virgin, introduced and established the prayer of the Most Holy Rosary. The Rosary Society through dues and donations, provides all the altar breads and maintaining of the linens. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
ROSARY SOCIETY is inviting women and men from the Area Faith Community to become members and receive an abundance of graces including extraordinary indulgences applicable to the souls in purgatory. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS
Catechists & Volunteers are needed for the upcoming 2018-19 Religious Ed year. We are in need of Co-Catechists for grades 9 and 11. We are also in need of substitute Catechists and Prayer Listeners. Please prayerfully consider volunteering for one of the open areas we have in our program. If you have questions about our program, are interested in teaching, or know of someone who might be a good fit, please contact Lori Penas at the parish office.
Confirmation Candidate/Parent Meeting: We will have our AFC Confirmation Candidate/Parent kick-off meeting on Wednesday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Pius X Church in Glencoe. All juniors and their parents should have received a letter in the mail this past week. This is a mandatory meeting for all those wishing to be Confirmed in March, 2019, please plan to attend.
Religious Education classes begin September 5. If you havenít yet registered, please visit the Holy Family Religious Ed webpage to access and print the form at http://www.holyfamilysilverlake.org/religious%20education.html. You can then drop it in the Sunday collection in an envelope marked Religious Ed, mail it in, or drop it off at the parish office.

With Fr. Paulís retirement from active ministry he is no longer available for emergency calls for the assistance of a priest. Please call Fr. Tony or Fr. Mike on their cell phones in cases of emergency or need for priestly assistance. The Winsted rectory phone is now forwarded to Fr. Tonyís cell phone. Both Fr. Tonyís and Fr. Mikeís cell phone numbers are in the masthead on the second page of this bulletin. As always, you may call any of the parish offices for assistance during regular business hours.
