Our weekend Mass is now

for everyone to enjoy. Mass will show on channel 8 if you use a Mediacom cable box or on channel 107.3 if you donít use a cable box on your TV. This is available for Mediacom customers in both Silver Lake and Lester Prairie.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: One of the great opportunities we have in our parish is to spend time in the presence of the Lord through Eucharistic Adoration. From 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. each Tuesday, the Eucharist is exposed in the chapel for quiet prayer and adoration.

TRAVELING CHALICE OPPORTUNITY: One of our responsibilities as Catholics is to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Our Traveling Chalice Prayer for Vocations program is a great opportunity for parishioners to pray and promote vocations. Each week, one family receives the chalice & book to take home. While the chalice is in your home, we ask that you make a family commitment to pray each day for vocations using the prayers provided in the book. Now available Silver Lake Knights of Columbus Scholarship Applications for graduating seniors. Applicant and/or their parents must be members of Holy Family in Silver Lake. Save aluminum can tabs: The KCís throughout Minnesota are saving pop tabs with proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House. The different Councils are having a competition to see who collects the most pounds per capita. Please help out our Silver Lake Council by dropping off your tabs in the containers at the main entrance and lower level north entrance.


MAIN CHURCH CLOSED DURING RENOVATION: During the renovation project the main church will be closed. There will be construction materials, tools and workmen around, so we ask that you refrain from going to the upper level of the church during the project. We will place barriers at the steps from the side door to help you remember that the main church is closed.

COMMUNION FOR THE DISABLED: Those who are not able to come up to receive Holy Communion are asked to sit in the back of the small section of our worship space or in the front row of the larger room of our worship space. We will bring Holy Communion to you at your places.

CARPET - PEW - AIR-CONDITIONING PROJECT UPDATE:

Entrance to Mass: We will be using the lower level entrance from the parking lot and the side entrance by the elevator to enter for Mass during renovation.

Servers and Lectors: During renovation we ask that lectors and servers use the stairs by the parking lot entrance to come up to vest and prepare for Mass.

Main Church Closed during Renovation: During the renovation project the main church will be closed. There will be construction materials, tools and workmen around, so we ask that you refrain from going to the upper level of the church during the project. We will place barriers at the steps from the side door to help you remember that the main church is closed.

No Reconciliation during Construction: During construction there will be no regularly scheduled Sacrament of Reconciliation. We do not have a sufficiently private space to accommodate the celebration of the sacrament. You may make an appointment with one of the priests for Reconciliation, or you can celebrate the sacrament on Saturdays at noon at St. Pius X or at 4:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity.

Funerals during Construction: All funerals during the time of renovation will be celebrated in the lower level of the church. Since we are set up for Mass, we will not be able to serve funeral luncheons during our renovation.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION UPDATE: We have not been able to recruit enough people to be present for the hours we have been having for Eucharistic Adoration on Tuesdays. When we return to church at the end of our renovation, the Adoration hours will begin after Tuesday morning Mass and end at 4:00 p.m. We still have several open hours we are looking to fill. Please consider making a commitment to Adoration. An Adoration sign-up sheet with the open hours is on the counter in front of the kitchen serving line door panel. CHURCH RENOVATION UPDATE: The renovation continues to move ahead with carpet installation advancing quickly. After the carpet is in place it will need to have a few days to adhere, and pew installation is still scheduled to begin on May 29.


BAPTISM PREPARATION SESSION JUNE 2: Those who would like to celebrate the baptism of their child between June and September should plan to attend the
Baptism preparation session

on Saturday, June 2, at 10:30 a.m.
in the parish library at the Church of St. Pius X
.

Our next preparation session will be on September 8. If you are waiting for the birth of your child you can participate in the session now, and when your child is born you will be ready for Baptism. There is no need to register for the session.

ROSARY SOCIETY is inviting women and men from the Area Faith Community to become members and receive an abundance of graces including extraordinary indulgences applicable to the souls in purgatory.
