EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: One of the great opportunities we have in our parish is to spend time in the presence of the Lord through Eucharistic Adoration. From 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. each Tuesday, the Eucharist is exposed in the chapel for quiet prayer and adoration.

TRAVELING CHALICE OPPORTUNITY: One of our responsibilities as Catholics is to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Our Traveling Chalice Prayer for Vocations program is a great opportunity for parishioners to pray and promote vocations. Each week, one family receives the chalice & book to take home. While the chalice is in your home, we ask that you make a family commitment to pray each day for vocations using the prayers provided in the book. FR. PAUL TO RETIRE: In a recent conversation with Fr. Tony, Fr. Paul indicated that he will be retiring from active ministry at the end of June, 2018. At the time of his retirement Fr. Paul will have served the Diocese of New Ulm, its parishes and people for 56 years. We are very happy that he will continue to serve our area faith community until this coming June.

TOTUS TUUS: A Paid Missionary Opportunity for College Students: The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry is offering college students an opportunity for a summer of missionary work in the Diocese of New Ulm. Totus Tuus is Latin for totally yours. Those chosen for the Totus Tuus team will travel to various parishes throughout the Diocese of New Ulm to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with young people. The summer begins with training the week of May 25. The first week in parishes begins on June 3. There is a break for the missionaries the week of July 4, and the summer of ministry concludes with Boys and Girls Camps. For more information please see the posters on parish bulletin boards. You can contact your parish office to receive a letter explaining the program more completely, or you can contact Kevin Losleben, diocesan director youth and young adult ministry, at klosleben@dnu.org. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION:
First Reconciliation will take place on Wednesday, January 31.
Students and parents should meet in the church at 5:30 p.m. The
AFC First Communion parent meeting will be held on Sunday,
February 18 in the lower level of Holy Family Church at 2:30 p.m.

The last Confirmation Candidate/Parent meeting will be
Wednesday, January 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the lower level of Holy
Family Church. The AFC Confirmation retreat for candidates and
parents will be held on Sunday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m. at
St. Pius X. Please keep all those preparing for the sacraments in your
prayers.

We will leave the Church parking lot at 12:15 p.m.
At 12:30 p.m. we will have pizza and pop,
and then bowl from 1:00 Ė 3:00 p.m.,
returning to Silver Lake around 3:15 p.m.
